Career

Cruz Supat’s style of rap/hip-hop fuses the mainstream genre with elements of rock and trap, along with dancehall and reggae vibes originating from his native country, Jamaica. Real experiences are woven into his songs, a characteristic inspired by artists Buju Banton and Sizzla. His lyrical technique is influenced by artists such as Eminem, Vybz Kartel, and Rakim. All of his lyrics are rooted in personal experience, emboldened with his commentary on current events and how to live in a world full of moral conflicts. Though his message may be hopeful, it is cloaked in a dark depression reminiscent of Linkin Park and Disturbed. His fans have followed him for many years, but for the new listeners he debuts as “the unknown which is feared”, and reminds new audiences that misjudged imagery can spoil the message.
