Iran Issued A Stern Warning To Israel

The commander-in-chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has said his country’s defense policy provides for a strong response to any reckless action by any enemy. He also warned that no enemy would be able to inflict the slightest blow on Iran’s interests.

Major General Hussein Salami issued the warning on Wednesday after inspecting the IRGC’s naval preparations for deployment in the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf.

Referring to Israel’s recent rhetoric against Iran, he said that those who are threatening Iran, especially the occupying Israel, should know that Tehran is ready to respond to any level of attack anywhere.

General Salami said the days when Iran’s interests would be harmed and Tehran would not respond were over. Let the enemies of Iran never dream of returning to those days.

Last week, an unidentified attack on an Israeli-owned oil tanker in the Sea of Oman killed two foreign crew of the tanker. Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett blamed Iran for the attack without providing any evidence. Dominic Robb, the British Foreign Secretary, and Anthony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, then joined forces with Tel Aviv to accuse Iran of carrying out the attack. The Western media reported that Washington and London had given the green light to Tel Aviv to harm Iran’s interests.

General Hussein Salami apparently said this in response to the threat. “We are not sending a diplomatic message, we are talking about war,” he added. The commander-in-chief of the IRGC further clarified that “those who speak threatening language against us, including the Prime Minister of Israel, will be advised to be more restrained.”
