Producer Raj And His Associates Have Been Remanded For Another Six Days

Desk Report: The court has granted remand to producer Nazrul Islam Raj and associate Sabuj Ali for six days in a drug and pornography case. Of these, two days in drug cases and four days in pornography cases.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Debabrata Biswas passed the order after a hearing on Tuesday (August 10th). State Prosecutor Abdullah Abu confirmed the information.

He said that after a four-day remand, they were again remanded for five days in a drug case of Banani police station. Defendant’s lawyer canceled the remand and applied for bail. The state, on the other hand, opposed it. After hearing both sides, the judge ordered remand.
On August 5, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mamunur Rashid granted them a four-day remand. The CID produced them in court after remand on Tuesday.

On the night of August 4 (Wednesday), RAB arrested Raj and his accomplice Sabuj Mia from their house in Banani with drugs and lead consumption equipment. Pornography-related equipment was also recovered from their homes.

On the night of August 5 (Thursday), the RAB filed a case against them under the Pornography Act at the Banani Police Station in the capital. A case has also been filed against Raj under the Narcotics Act.

Confirming the matter, Banani Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Noor Azam Mia said, Raj’s associate in the pornography case. Sabuj Ali has been included. Nazrul Islam alias Raj and Md. On August 8 (Friday), the statement of the pornography case of Banani police station reached the court. After that, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rajesh Chowdhury accepted the statement and directed to investigate the case and submit a report on September 15.
