Desk Report: Model Faria Mahbub Piyasa and Maryam Akhter Mau were members of the organized blackmail ring. They used to call the children of aristocratic families at home in the name of the party and blackmail them by taking offensive pictures after drinking alcohol and yaba. Such is the demand of Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police DB.
Detectives say they (Piasa and Mau) slept during the day and did these activities at night. Especially the children of aristocratic families were called home in the name of the party. When he came home, he would take offensive pictures and videos with them on the occasion of the party.
Large quantities of liquor, yaba and lead equipment were seized in a raid on Piyasar’s luxury home in the capital’s Baridhara on Sunday night. The operation started from 10 pm and lasted till around 12 pm. During the night, another DB team raided a house on Babar Road in Mohammadpur and arrested model Mau Akhter. A liquor bar was also found in his house at that time. Large quantities of foreign liquor were also seized from there. In this incident, model Piasa and model Mauke were arrested and taken to the DB office.
Later, at around 1.30 pm, Harun-ur-Rashid, Joint-Commissioner of the Detective (North) Branch of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police, told reporters, ‘Piasa and Mau are members of an organized gang. We have received many blackmail allegations against them. Their homes were raided while investigating the incidents. During the operation, foreign liquor, yaba and lead were found in the houses of the two. There was a liquor bar in Mau’s house. ‘
Aaron said, ‘The two models arrested are the queen of the night. They slept during the day and did these activities at night. They used to call the children of aristocratic families home in the name of the party. When they came home, they would take offensive pictures and videos with them. Later, he used to blackmail and extort money from the victims to send the videos and pictures to their families.
Regarding the legal process against the two detainees, Joint Commissioner Harun-ur-Rashid said, “There will be separate cases against them under the Narcotics Control Act at Mohammadpur and Gulshan police stations for finding drugs in their homes.” There will also be separate cases against them for blackmailing. In these cases, we will remand them and interrogate them.
