The Contribution Of Women In The Economy And The Advancement Of Development

The Contribution Of Women In The Economy And The Advancement Of Development. Bangladesh is now a role model for world development. Standing on the threshold of the fourth industrial crisis, Bangladesh is moving forward by utilizing information and technology. That is why we have a huge population. Women and men are part of this huge population.

The countries that have been able to stand in the ranks of developed countries in the world have paved the way for women’s empowerment. Women and men are moving forward in contribution. The same is happening in our country. Areas in which women’s participation was once unthinkable or where social barriers were intertwined are now free. As a result, women are being established independently by taking part in these fields as well as playing a role in the economic development of the country. As the country moves forward, the participation of women in development work is increasing along with men. The empowerment of women and the empowerment of women is the opportunity for women’s participation in the development work of the country.

Today, the participation of women in every work is increasing. The contribution of women is increasing in every field like education, agriculture, industry, trade, migration, ICT economy in general. Where women used to do housework, now some are working, some are doing business. The number of working women is increasing in Bangladesh.

With the management of the family, they are doing business either job or not. Women are often seen running small shops in the village. Today, in the age of e-commerce, women are doing business from home. While the number of working women was 16.2 lakh in 2010, it increased to 16.7 lakh in 2016-17. The participation of women has increased during this period.

The field of women’s work is no longer limited. A large number of women are working in the garment industry, one of the largest sectors of our country’s economy. Rural women as well as working women in the city. Apart from handicrafts such as nakshikantha weaving, bamboo and cane work, various handicrafts, poultry farms, cow rearing, bird and pigeon farms, agricultural work etc. are helping to restructure the financial condition of the family in various ways and in some households women are playing a major role. Women are going abroad for work.

Most of the working women are engaged in agriculture. According to the 2005-06 Labor Force Survey, about 6 percent of the country’s 12 million women workers are rural women, mainly engaged in agriculture, animal husbandry, poultry farming, Engaged in agricultural activities like fish farming etc. Many of them are returning to the country after being tortured while working abroad. But even then, many women are going to work as domestic workers despite enduring hundreds of hardships in exile. According to the Bureau of Manpower Employment and Training, a total of 9,35,048 women went abroad to work from 1991 to February 2021.

Men as well as women have contributed to the economic progress of Bangladesh today. “All the great creations of this world are eternally auspicious, half of them are made by women and half by men.” The line of this poem written by the poet Kazi Nazrul Islam reminds us that women have an equal contribution in the creation of the world. In a patriarchal society, women have been neglected since time immemorial. But before we resort to violence against women, we forget that The realization of the rights that I shout for in the world today was started by a woman who showed the light of the world. With the change of days, women have had to work hard to create opportunities for self-expression. It has taken many years to understand that a woman’s job is just to give birth to a child.

The field of work for women has increased. Coming out of the corner of the house to the space today is successfully keeping their footprints. However, despite the increase in the field of work, the rate of violence against women has not decreased. On the contrary, the society is witnessing new and abominable forms of violence day by day. Women between the ages of three and thirty are not excluded from that violence. They are being raped, hacked and thrown on the streets, gang rapes on buses and trams. Despite all this, women are equal partners in the progress of our development. Half the power to build a digital Bangladesh. The progress of the country is impossible without the empowerment of women.

There is no dearth of people in this society who are stingy in recognizing women’s talents and skills. Their happiness seems to be limited to exercising their rights. Child marriage, dowry, rape, sexual harassment on the streets, harassment in school-college and university, uncertainty in the family – everything is becoming more and more dangerous for women. From 2012 to 2016, 1154 women in the country lost their lives due to dowry fire. Of these, 198 in 2012, 245 in 2013, 238 in 2014, 203 in 2015 and 163 in 2016, the lives of women have been destroyed by the fire of dowry. Originally called child marriage and dowry is a terrible ancient but the world has not been able to get out of the primitiveness of modern life even today. Because not only Bangladesh, but also India, Pakistan and other underdeveloped and developing countries are the main obstacles to development in this child marriage and dowry system.

Basically, women need to get in the habit of looking at rights, not kindness. That habit has to be made from the family. If girls are viewed from a negative point of view in the family or are compared to a male member, then it has an effect on the society as well. On the bus, in the office, The difference will remain obvious as long as women on the streets suffer from insecurity and need special help to get their safety. In order to prevent violence against women, it is necessary to create its environment from the marginalized class of the society. The disease called child marriage is spreading in the villages. During the JSC examination, it was seen that most of the girls who were absent in the newspapers were victims of child marriage.

Even in the case of many girls who are absent from the PEC exam, this cruel irony of fate happens. Where the goal of a boy’s family is to get an education and get a job. There is just the opposite in the case of the girl. The sooner the husband and children can get involved in the work of the house, the better! This is the opposite picture and is a daily occurrence in the current context of our country. But in order to develop, these must be prevented. Again, the image of being tortured due to dowry after marriage is often seen. Although there are laws to prevent these crimes and in many cases punishment is happening, the problem is not diminishing.

We want every sector of society to be unimpeded for the movement and living of women. We have to create a certain environment. Women’s workplace needs to be made more seamless. In order to fulfill the goal of the developed country in 2041, women have to move forward along with men.
