A mourning meeting and prayer mahfil has been held in Ishwarganj, Mymensingh in memory of Khurram Khan Chowdhury, a former MP and founder of the college branch of Girls School and College.
The mourning meeting was held at Ishwarganj Girls School and College on Tuesday. Bir Muktijoddha Abdus Chatter, Mayor of the Municipal Corporation and President of the College Management Committee spoke as the chief guest in the presidency of the principal of the organization Kamrul Alam.
Among others, Press Club President Lecturer Nilkantha Ich Majumder, Assistant Headmaster of the school branch. Selim Mia, Assistant Professor Bazlur Rahman, Delwar Hossain, Lecturer. Shahidullah, Samiun Basir, Badrul Alam and assistant teacher Fatema Khairunnesa. Maulana Azharul Islam led the prayers.
It may be mentioned that the best child of the nation, the war hero of 1971, a prominent freedom fighter, educationist and social worker, passed away on July 16.
