A special day-to-day vaccination camp was organized at Girls School and College in Ishwarganj municipal area to provide corona vaccine. Municipal Mayor Bir Muktijoddha Abdus Chatter inaugurated the vaccination program on Monday.
Among others present were Ishwarganj Girls School and College Principal Kamrul Alam, Upazila Health Complex MODC Dr. Abu Reza Hasibul Hasan, Press Club President Nilkantha Aich Majumder and others. The MODC of the Upazila Health Complex said 400 people would be vaccinated in the day-long camp.
Municipal Mayor Bir Muktijoddha Abdus Chattar said that although there was no instruction to provide vaccination through camps in the municipal area, the vaccination camp has been organized by the hospital authorities with special arrangements due to the increase in the number of corona patients in the municipal town.
He added that the number of corona patients is increasing due to the densely populated municipal area and high population density, so it has become urgent to take measures for vaccination through more camps.
