Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Branch (DB) Additional Commissioner of Police (ADC) Golam Saqlain is being removed from the post of DB. He is being removed on the instructions of the commissioner. Action will be taken against him after investigation.
AKM Hafeez Akter, additional police commissioner of the DMP’s intelligence department, confirmed the matter on Saturday (August 6th).
“We have heard allegations against Saqlain,” he said. The media news video we saw is immoral. That’s not what he did. I have talked to the DMP commissioner about this. We are not keeping him in DMP anymore. We are making a decision in this regard.
The committee is investigating Saqlain
The additional police commissioner said the police headquarters would conduct an investigation into the matter. The DMP will form a committee to investigate his immoral act. Whether disciplinary action will be taken is the next issue.
Earlier, DMP Commissioner Moha had termed it as ‘immoral’ for the heroine Parimani and Detective Branch (DB) officer Golam Saqlain to spend time together. Shafiqul Islam.
